About this policy
Architects Map (the “Service”) is a website for learning about buildings and visiting them. This policy explains how we handle personal and other data. The Service does not offer accounts or sign-in.
Information we collect
If you choose a language, we store that preference in a browser cookie.
To centre the map near you, we read your location from the browser only if you allow it. Location is not sent to our servers; it is used on the device to position the map.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
To show hours, ratings, and addresses, your browser may call the Google Places API.
Messages you send through the contact form reach us via Google Forms.
How we use it
We use this information to keep your language choice, show the map near you, display visit details, improve quality, understand usage, and answer enquiries.
Processors and third parties
We use Firebase (Google) for hosting and images, Esri for map tiles, Google Places for visit details, Google Analytics for measurement, and Google Forms for contact. Those providers process data under their own policies. We do not sell information that identifies you, except where the law requires disclosure.
Affiliate links
We do not currently show affiliate (commission) links to booking sites. If we add them, we will label them and update this policy. For official-site links, contracts and prices are governed by those services; we are not a party.
Storage and security
Traffic is protected with HTTPS and similar measures. You can delete the language cookie in your browser settings.
Your choices
You can refuse or change location access in your browser at any time. You may also be able to limit analytics through your browser’s ad-personalization or tracking-prevention settings.
